My laptop battery died mid-call at a Starbucks in Portland last Tuesday

I was on a Zoom call with a potential repeat customer when my 3 year old laptop just shut down at 32% battery. The barista let me use their outlet behind the counter but I lost the call and had to send a messy apology email. How do you guys handle power failures when you're working from coffee shops?

Did you really lose a customer over one dropped call though? Seems like a quick "sorry got disconnected" email would smooth it over.

Nah @rowanw91, one dropped call lost me a client once because they'd already had three bad experiences with other movers before me.

One bad call can wreck everything, same thing happened to me with a freelance gig last year.
