The library co-working session that made me ditch open tabs forever

I was working at the downtown public library last Tuesday when my laptop screen froze during a client video call. Turns out I had 47 tabs open across three browsers for research, invoices, and reference images. Had to reboot in front of everyone and lost 20 minutes of work. Has anyone else found a good system for managing all those reference files without bogging down your machine?

47 tabs across three browsers is rookie numbers, that's barely a mild inconvenience. I've had 100+ in one browser for a design project and my laptop barely noticed. @the_betty might be onto something with that memory study though, I can usually find what I need by muscle memory alone. Video call freezing sounds more like a wifi issue or your machine being old than a tab problem. Maybe check your task manager next time before blaming the tabs.

47 tabs isn't a bug, it's a feature.

Did you catch that one study about how people with a ton of open tabs actually have better memory for switching between tasks? I heard it on a podcast and it totally validated my chaotic browsing habits (not that I needed an excuse).
