Took me 6 hours to fix a tax spreadsheet I should have caught in 20 minutes

I was double checking my 1099 entries for last quarter and found a formula error in my mileage deduction column that threw off everything by about $800. Ended up redoing the whole sheet from scratch because the mistake was buried so deep in the formatting. Has anyone else wasted a full afternoon on something that should have been a quick fix?

Read a study a while back about how people who open commission statements right after lunch make more bad decisions with gear. Something about decision fatigue, I guess. Happens to a lot of guys I know, they rush through the payment process and miss a zero. Easy to do when you're trying to get back to the field quick. At least you know for next time to double check before hitting submit.
