I finally asked my neighbor about his move to Portugal
He's a freelance writer who moved to Lisbon two years ago. He told me he didn't pick it for the low cost, but because the time zone let him work with US clients in the morning and have his afternoons free. I'd only ever looked at places based on rent prices before. Now I'm rethinking my whole plan to move to Mexico. Has anyone else picked a spot for the schedule, not just the cash?

Time zones are a legit game changer. My buddy in Spain works US hours and gets his whole evening free. Makes way more sense than just chasing cheap rent.

Yeah it's wild how time zones are quietly reshaping everything... like my local coffee shop is packed at 11am now with remote workers on West Coast hours. The whole idea of a "rush hour" is just melting away.

Ever think about how daylight savings messes with remote work calls? My team in London hates when I fall back an hour.
