Spent $300 on a coworking membership in Miami that I used twice
I thought the fancy space with the espresso bar would make me productive, but my Airbnb's kitchen table with a $15 fan did the same job, has anyone else thrown cash at a 'perfect' setup that flopped?

The coffee shop test is such a smart move, seriously. I did something similar with a fancy planner setup last year, bought all the markers and stickers and everything, then just used the notes app on my phone the whole time. The thing is, these big purchases feel like a promise that you'll magically become more focused, but the real work is just showing up and doing the thing. Now I always ask myself if I'm buying the vibe or actually solving a problem before I drop cash on anything like that.

That $300 espresso bar must've been fancy, but yeah I've burned cash on a standing desk setup I barely touched because my couch worked just fine. Next time try a coffee shop for a week before committing to the big membership.
