Warning: My visa paperwork for a move to Lisbon got rejected because I used an old version of the income verification form.

Check the official immigration website for forms every single time you download one, they update them without warning. I learned that the hard way too, and now I keep a bookmark folder just for the current versions. Hannah926, I feel you on the paperwork running your life, it's brutal. Always call or email the consulate to confirm you have the right form before you get anything notarized, it saves so much headache later. That extra verification step is annoying but it beats paying rush fees and losing a month.
