Why does nobody talk about the visa paperwork black hole in Lisbon?
Spent a full week thinking I had everything for my D7, but they wanted a notarized copy of a lease I signed digitally... which took 3 more weeks to sort. Has anyone else hit a wall with digital documents for residency?

Oh man, digital lease trouble is the worst. I had the exact same issue with my SEF appointment last year. What finally worked for me was going back to my landlord and asking for a simple paper copy with a wet signature. Then I got that single page notarized instead of the whole digital contract. It was cheaper and they accepted it without a problem.

Actually, the notary part is key. They need to certify the landlord's signature on a fresh paper copy, not just stamp a printout. Your workaround was smart but it works because the notary checked the ID, not the old digital file.

Yeah, the notary part is the real kicker. @ray_burns is right, they need to see that fresh signature get verified in person. My landlord had to re-sign a blank copy in front of the notary with his ID out, then they stamped that one page. It was the only way they'd take it.
