Oh man, my friend once got totally lost in this modern art place and found a whole basement floor... it wasn't on the map or anything. Just a plain door by the bathrooms, but it opened to these weird abstract sculptures no one ever talks about. The guard just shrugged and said they keep some pieces down there when the main rooms get too crowded. Felt like stumbling into a secret storage room full of forgotten art.

Yeah the bit about guards hiding stuff reminds me of this tiny room in the Louvre that's easy to miss. It's got these insane red velvet chairs from some old palace, just sitting there. You literally have to ask a staff member to unlock it for you, feels like a secret.
