I think the pegboard craze is overrated after trying it for 6 months

Last year I finally gave in and put up a big pegboard system in my garage in Phoenix. Everyone on here raves about them but honestly after 6 months I took it all down last week. The hooks keep falling off when I grab tools and I spent more time rearranging than actually working. I switched to a magnetic bar setup for my wrenches and a simple shelf for the rest. Has anyone else found pegboards more trouble than they are worth?

Used to think those magnetic parts holders were just overpriced junk honestly. Saw one in action at a buddy's shop where he was working on a rusty old truck and every bolt just stuck right where he put it. Changed my whole view on them after watching him not lose a single fastener in two hours. All those times I spent crawling around on the floor hunting for dropped screws could have been avoided.
