Picked the $12 coffee shop over the free library desk for a remote gig. Regretted it about 45 minutes in when my laptop battery hit 15%.
Had a choice between a quiet library with outlets everywhere or a trendy cafe with $6 lattes and no plugs, and I went for the vibe. Ended up begging the barista to let me use the staff outlet behind the counter so I wouldn't miss my deadline has anyone else gambled on aesthetics over practicality?

My buddy Mike did this EXACT thing last month. Picked the artsy coffee spot with zero outlets because the lighting was good for his Zoom calls. Spent his lunch break sitting on the bathroom floor charging his laptop behind a toilet.

Bathroom floor wifi is a whole new level of dedication.

Yeah that bathroom floor move is rough. I started bringing a portable power bank with me everywhere after a similar disaster. It charges my laptop about 1.5 times before dying so I can sit wherever I want without hunting for outlets. Saved me from having to camp out behind a toilet or under some random table. Do you carry backup power for your stuff?
