I swore by fast trims until a regular client called me out
I used to cut corners to finish trims quickly. One day, a longtime client pointed out missed ends. I felt embarrassed but fixed it right away. Now I give each trim the full attention it needs. It takes a bit longer, but the results are way better.

Lol been there, trying to speed through stuff always backfires. Bet that client's stare could've trimmed your split ends from across the room.

So @janag43, what happened after that stare? Did the client call you out, or was it one of those silent treatments that just kills you inside? I'm curious if speeding through that task led to a bigger mess you had to clean up later. That kind of pressure can really make you rethink your whole approach to deadlines. Honestly, some clients have a way of making you feel SO small without saying a word.

That 3 PM stare... changed my view on rushing forever.

Wait did you say the stare could trim split ends from across the room. That is the most specific and terrifying description of a client's glare I have ever heard. It paints such a clear picture of pure, quiet disappointment. Now I'm just imagining someone sitting there with perfect hair while you slowly melt into your chair. That kind of silent judgment is honestly worse than them yelling.
