Tbh, I had a lightbulb moment about patience after sitting through a two-day rain delay on a grading job.

Calling it just a pain misses how boredom can make you think. Staring at mud for days might not be deep, but it forces a kind of stillness. Most big ideas look pretty simple once you say them out loud.

Actually read something once about how boredom is a kind of forced mental reset. The idea was that when you can't do anything, your brain starts to wander and make connections it normally wouldn't. So a rain delay, just sitting there, might feel pointless but it can clear out the noise. It's not about the event being big or hard, it's about what your mind does with the empty space. That stillness can be where the simple, obvious thoughts finally show up.

Come on, a two day rain delay is just a pain, not some big life lesson. Sounds like you were just bored out of your mind staring at the mud. Patience is for way harder stuff than waiting for the weather to clear. Not sure finding wisdom in a soggy inconvenience is all that deep, honestly.

Nah, patience is built from dealing with dumb stuff like rain delays too, lol. It's not always about big dramatic moments.
