Caught my neighbor's wifi camera pointing right at my window

Honestly, I was just setting up my new monitor in my home office last Saturday when I noticed this little red light blinking from my neighbor's gutter. It's angled straight at my desk where I take client calls. Tbh I didn't even think about privacy when I put my desk near the window. I grabbed my phone, took a photo, and went over to talk to them about it. Has anyone else dealt with nosy cameras from neighbors while working from home?

oh man I totally feel you on this. I had almost the exact same thing happen last year with my neighbor's Ring doorbell that somehow pointed right into my living room window where I have my desk. I was so ticked off because I'd be on a Zoom call and that little camera light would be staring at me. I went over and knocked on their door and the guy had no idea it was aimed at my place, he just stuck it up there without thinking. We ended up having a decent conversation about it and he moved the angle a bit, but honestly it still bugs me that I even had to ask. It's one of those things you never think about until you're suddenly living in a fishbowl.

Read an article saying those things can actually be hacked pretty easily too.

@dylan_ward is right about that, the hacking thing is way more common than people realize. Your neighbor probably just aimed it without thinking, so good on you for going over and talking to them about it.
