The week my home office AC died in July was brutal
Last summer, my portable AC unit gave out right in the middle of a heatwave. It was 95 degrees outside and my upstairs office hit 88 by 2 PM. I tried sticking it out with just a fan for two days but couldn't focus on anything. My keyboard was sticky from sweat and I kept having to change shirts. Finally I gave up and worked from a coffee shop for three days straight. That cost me about $40 in iced drinks but at least I got my projects done. Has anyone else had their whole work setup ruined by bad temperature control in a home office?
Wait, you actually LIKE sweaty keyboard grip? I'm trying to picture that and my brain just short circuits. Greasy keycaps that feel like you're typing on a buttered surface sounds like a nightmare. Does it not leave sticky residue everywhere? I had a buddy who spilled soda on his keyboard once and he said it turned into a fingerprint magnet that he couldn't clean off no matter what he tried. How long have you been putting up with that?
