TIL a cheap monitor arm fixed my neck pain after 2 years of ignoring it

I always thought those $40 monitor arms were a gimmick. My neck had been killing me since I started working from my spare bedroom in Portland last spring. Finally grabbed one off Amazon after my roommate said I was always slouching. It took 10 minutes to set up and now my screen is actually at eye level. Has anyone else had a random cheap fix that worked way better than expected?

Got a cheap standing desk converter off Facebook Marketplace for like $30 and honestly it changed my life. My neck was in a constant knot from looking down at my laptop on a regular desk. Now I switch between sitting and standing every hour or so and the pain basically disappeared within a week. Funny how the simplest stuff works when you finally stop overthinking it.
