Vent: That $200 standing desk converter I bought last month is collecting dust in the closet

I thought I'd use a standing desk converter every shift to keep my back from hurting during night work, but after three tries I just can't get comfortable switching positions. The thing wobbles when I type and takes up too much space on my small desk. Has anyone found a converter that actually stays steady for under $200?

Honestly, that wobble drives me nuts too, I tried one once and couldn't focus at all. You're not alone in ditching the thing.

Totally feel you on this. I tried one of those converters last year and honestly used it maybe twice before shoving it in the closet. The wobble was the worst part, made me feel like I was working on a trampoline. They just don't hold up well on smaller desks, take up way too much room and you end up with less space than before. I finally just gave up and bought a cheap basic desk that raises up with a crank, cost less than the converter and works way better. Hope you can find something that actually fits your space.
