Small win: finally ditched the desk lamp glare
Used to fight with a cheap clamp light that bounced off my monitor all day. Swapped to a $20 LED strip under the shelf last week and the difference is just...peaceful. Anyone else stuck on lighting that just won't quit?

and @william_craig7 hit the nail on the head about not realizing you needed the fix. I had a similar thing with a halogen desk lamp that always left a weird hot spot on my keyboard. Switched to a diffused LED bar clamped to the back of my monitor and it's like my eyes finally stopped working overtime. Its one of those small things that adds up to a much better mood at the desk.

Same thing happened to me with a gooseneck lamp I had for years. I thought it was fine until I swapped it out and realized I'd been dealing with a constant shadow on half my desk the whole time. The warm LED strip behind the monitor trick is smart, way better than having light bounce off the screen right into your eyes. I actually ended up putting a second strip under my desk too, just a soft glow for late night work without turning on the big overhead light. It's one of those things where once you fix it you can't believe you put up with the old setup for so long. Now I catch myself eyeballing every other lamp in the house wondering what else I've been ignoring.

Got rid of my old desk lamp last month and it was honestly one of those fixes you don't realize you needed until you do it. That harsh light bouncing off everything drove me nuts even though I just put up with it for years. Switched to a simple warm LED strip tucked behind the monitor and now my whole desk setup feels calmer. No more squinting or tilting the lamp every five minutes. It's crazy how much a tiny change like that can make your workspace actually bearable. Glad you found something that works.
