Appreciation post: The $30 monitor arm that saved my neck

I was dead set against monitor arms for years. Thought they were overpriced gimmicks. Picked up a cheap one from Amazon last month out of desperation. My neck pain is gone after two weeks. Anyone else have a desk accessory they swore they'd never buy?

And I regretted not getting one sooner. Picked up a basic one for my main monitor and it made a huge difference in how I sit through the day. Just having the screen at eye level fixed my slouching problem completely.

My buddy actually made a weird observation about this - he said the monitor stand helped his posture but then he started leaning forward more to use his keyboard and mouse. He ended up having to get a taller desk too to match the screen height.
