Heard a guy at Best Buy say his curved monitor messed up his eye strain after 2 weeks

I was grabbing a new mouse and this dude told the sales rep he switched back to a flat screen because the curve was throwing off his depth perception when reading docs. Has anyone else had that issue or is it just a certain type of work that causes it?

Wait, wasn't there a whole thing about this on a tech subreddit where some people said curved screens mess with text work? I read that if you're doing a lot of spreadsheets or coding the curve can distort the straight lines and make your eyes work harder. So it might not be the monitor's fault but just the wrong tool for certain jobs.

Cracked myself up the other day when I realized my curved monitor made me look like I was trying to read a spreadsheet through a fishbowl. Had it for a week before I just gave up and swapped it for a flat one. My eyes felt like they were doing yoga trying to focus on text near the edges.
