I sat on my chair the wrong way for 3 years and never knew

My buddy Tom came over last week to help me move a desk and he looked at my chair and laughed. He said my armrests were set way too high and my lumbar support was totally off. He spent 5 minutes adjusting everything and now my back doesn't ache after 4 hours of work. Has anyone else had a friend point out something obvious about their setup that they just got used to?

Tom set my chair up right last week and my whole opinion shifted.

My 30 minute commute turned into a pain fest every single day... until I realized my car seat was basically a hammock. I had the recline way back and the seat bottom tilted up in the front like I was driving a space ship. When my neighbor finally told me to flatten it out I felt dumb but honestly my back has been better ever since. Still though... I kinda miss the old position sometimes. It felt like being in a lazy boy chair and I could zone out on the highway. Now I sit up straight like a robot and it works but it's less comfortable in a weird way.

@joseph_green13 I gotta disagree, sitting upright feels like driving a lawn tractor but at least my back works after.
