My neighbor laughed at my standing desk made of stacked boxes
About a year ago I had this cheap setup where I used 3 old shipping boxes to raise my monitor up to eye level. My neighbor Jim saw it through the window when he was getting his mail and actually laughed out loud. He said "you work from home and THAT'S your desk?" I was embarrassed at first but honestly it worked fine for 6 months until I saved up $120 for a real desk. Now I look back and laugh too but I also kinda miss how simple it was. Has anyone else made do with a janky temporary setup way longer than they should have?
