My standing desk motor died at the worst time yesterday
3pm on a Tuesday, right before a client call. Desk was stuck at sitting height. Tried unplugging and plugging back in, nothing. Had to take the whole call standing at my kitchen counter. Now I'm looking at manual crank options. Anyone switch from electric to manual and regret it?

Why would you trade a working motor for manual cranking?

Man oh man that brings back a memory. My uncle had this old fishing boat with a 15 horse Johnson from the 70s. Thing was a beast but the electric start gave out on him one summer. He spent two weeks trying to fix it before he just ripped the whole starter out and put a pull cord on it. Said it was simpler and he could always get it going no matter what. I still don't get it because that motor always started fine before.
