Rant: That fancy cable management tray was a total waste of money

I picked up this steel cable tray from Amazon for $40 last month. Tried to mount it under my Ikea desk and the clips snapped right off after an hour. Now I just use zip ties and velcro straps, works way better than that overpriced system everyone seems to love.

Dude for real. I had the same problem with the velcro and greasy food. What finally worked for me was just sticking a magnet mount right on the back of my phone case. Simple metal plate inside the case so it doesn't mess with wireless charging. That thing hasn't budged in two years, even when I'm eating a burger in the car. Way better than dealing with sticky residue or sliding around.

Yeah but here's the thing nobody's talking about. The velcro works great til you're trying to eat something greasy and your phone keeps sliding off because the oils break down the grip. @jackson.max you ever notice that? I had to switch to a pop socket just to keep my phone from flying off the dash every time I hit a pothole.
