Spent $400 on a mesh chair. Back still hurts.

Either I bought the wrong one or mesh chairs are overrated. Anyone find a good chair under $500 that actually helps with lower back pain?

Wait, you spent FOUR HUNDRED dollars on a chair and your back STILL hurts? That's insane, I would be so mad. I think a lot of these "ergonomic" chairs are just fancy marketing with a big price tag. Honestly, I got a cheap office chair from Staples for around $200 and added a lumbar support cushion and it made a HUGE difference.

Does that cheap chair come with a "I'll fix your back" guarantee too? Because I'd rather spend $50 on a cushion and a prayer than $400 on a fancy torture device that just makes my wallet hurt. My cousin swears by this folding camping chair he uses for his gaming setup, but his posture looks like a shrimp that got hit by a truck. You got any tips for picking the right lumbar cushion or is it all just guesswork?

What brand lumbar cushion did you end up going with?
