Spent two hours adjusting my monitor arm and it still wobbles when I type

The instructions said 15 minutes max but now I've got a half-dismantled arm on my desk and my neck hurts from craning at a bad angle all afternoon, has anyone else just given up and bought a different one?

Hey was it that Ergotron or an Amazon special? Those cheaper ones always wobble no matter how tight you crank the hex bolts, I learned that the hard way after getting a $30 one from a random brand. Did you strip any screws yet or are you still in the 'maybe one more turn' phase?

Ngl did you ever try shimming the mount plate with a thin piece of rubber? I've saved a couple cheap ones that way and they stayed solid for months.
