The $8 clamp that fixed my monitor wobble issue
I was about to buy a $200 monitor arm because my cheap desk was shaking every time I typed. Then my buddy who works in a warehouse told me to just clamp the back edge of the desk to the wall with a simple furniture bracket. I spent 8 bucks at the hardware store and now my triple monitor setup is rock solid. Has anyone else found a cheap fix like this that saved you from spending big money?

@taylor_wells it doesn't transfer wobble, it turns the whole desk into one solid block of wobble with the floor. Guess that's still cheaper than a new desk though.

Doesn't that just transfer the wobble to your monitors?

A few years back I tried those little rubber isolation pads under my monitor stands and it was a total waste of money. Ended up getting a heavy steel desk frame from a local office supply place for around 200 bucks and that solved the floor vibration problem completely. You just have to accept that cheap furniture is going to wobble no matter what you put on top of it.
