Honestly, this is exactly the kind of thing that makes me wonder if we've all lost perspective. People will drop hundreds on a new phone or a gaming subscription without blinking, but a fifteen dollar plugin gets a full day's worth of head-scratching. Tbh, I've done the same thing with a cheap tool that saved five minutes a week, then spent an hour trying to fix it. Ngl, it's like how people will drive across town to save ten cents on gas, but they wouldn't think twice about ordering takeout. The smaller the cost, the more we obsess over making it work perfectly. It's a weird human habit.
