Found a trick that gets me paid 2 days faster on repeat clients

I was waiting on a $850 payment from a regular gig last month, sitting in a coffee shop in Austin, and I realized if I send the invoice the same day I finish the work instead of waiting until Friday, they pay by Tuesday instead of the next week. Has anyone else tried shifting their send day and noticed a pattern?
