Shoutout to blackout curtains after 3 nights of 4am sunlight

I moved my desk near a west facing window last week for the view, but now the sun hits my screen at 3am when I'm deep in editing. My productivity tanked for two days straight before I shelled out $25 on some cheap blackout curtains from Target. The difference was instant, like going from a bright parking lot to a dim booth at a diner. I finished a whole project in one sitting last night without squinting or adjusting my monitor. Anyone else have a weird lighting fix that changed your late night workflow?

Hold on, that's sunset not sunrise at 3am unless you're way up north.

Respectfully push back on this one @jesse_smith10 - I've watched enough sunrises from a fishing camp in northern Canada to know that pinkish orange glow with the sun coming up low on the horizon can look just like a sunset if you're not paying attention to the light direction.

Yeah @morganl71 you're right about that... I've messed that up myself before. Living in Minnesota I've seen 3am sunrises in June up north and it throws you off. The angle of the light is totally different between sunset and sunrise too. Once you learn to look for whether it's getting lighter or darker you'll never mix them up again.
