That $800 'productivity course' I bought at 2 AM still haunts me

Back in March I was on a serious freelance grind and saw an ad for a course that promised to double my income in 30 days. It was midnight and I was exhausted from back to back projects, so I dropped $800 without thinking. Turned out the whole thing was just basic stuff like 'make a to do list' and 'reply to emails faster.' I didn't learn one new thing and I still feel stupid about it. Has anyone else thrown cash at a late night impulse purchase that totally flopped?

Read a study saying late night purchases have like a 90% regret rate.

Oh wow, 90% seems really high though doesn't it? I mean yeah I've definitely ordered some dumb stuff at 2am like a weird kitchen gadget I never used, but I feel like half the time I'm buying something I actually needed anyway, just at a bad hour. Last week I bought a 3am pack of floss picks and zero regrets, my teeth thanked me the next morning. Studies like that always seem to pick the most dramatic number to grab your attention.

Man I felt that in my bones. My $600 "masterclass" on how to hack your brain for focus turned out to be a guy in a hoodie reading off Wikipedia articles. Your mileage may vary but at least your teeth are clean, right?
