Used to swear by coworking spaces, now I just grab a picnic table at a park in Medellin
I spent $250 a month on a hot desk in Bogota before realizing I get more done outside with way fewer distractions. The wifi from my hotspot is faster than any shared office connection I had. Has anyone else ditched coworking for public parks?

But are you ever worried about your laptop getting snatched when you have to get up and use the bathroom? I always feel like I'm asking someone to watch my stuff.

Bathroom breaks in a coffee shop are a gamble every time. I've had my laptop sitting out while I ducked away and nothing happened, but the one time I left my phone on the table it got grabbed. People are bold these days. Honestly, I just take my laptop with me now, even if it feels awkward. Not worth the risk of losing a thousand dollar machine over a three minute pee break. Better safe than sorry.
