Just found out boxes have weight limits the hard way

Packed a moving box full of books back in Detroit. Hit 75 pounds easy. Handle ripped right off halfway down the stairs. Now I use small boxes for books, never go past 40 pounds. Anybody else learn this the hard way?

The real hidden danger with heavy boxes isn't just the handles giving out. It is your back. I saw a neighbor try to lift a box that was way too heavy, and he ended up in pain for a week. A torn handle is an inconvenience, but a slipped disc is a whole different kind of problem. Those moving dollies are worth their weight in gold for the real heavy stuff, especially books and tools. It is better to take an extra trip than to spend a month regretting a shortcut.

A whole week in pain? That's terrifying...

Wait wait, 75 pounds in one box? @rivera.hannah must've seen a few of those disasters.
