Overheard a guy at WeWork say he uses a free voice-to-text app for all his invoices
I was grabbing coffee at the WeWork in Denver last Wednesday and this freelance writer next to me said he types zero invoices because he just talks into his phone using some free app called Dictate2Go. I checked it out and it saved me about 20 minutes per invoice this week alone. Anyone else use voice tools for admin stuff or am I late to this party?

20 minutes per invoice? That sounds like a lot unless you're typing up a whole novel for each one. Most invoices I've dealt with are just name, date, amount, and maybe a short description. If you're spending 30 minutes typing that out, maybe the issue is your typing speed, not the software. Dictation apps are fine for long-form writing, but for basic admin stuff it seems like overkill. Plus I'd worry about it mangling numbers or addresses and then having to double-check everything anyway.

Even basic addresses can get garbled in dictation and that's a headache to catch.

Saw a news piece where a dude's whole shipping route got messed up by a speech-to-text error.
