That $180 project management app I swore by for 9 months was a total waste

I jumped on this fancy app after a friend raved about it, paid $20 a month for a year upfront. First 3 months were fine, then they pushed an update that broke all my task automations. Took 4 emails with support over 2 weeks just to get a reply, and they said the feature was 'under review.' I finally switched back to a simple kanban board and a notebook, and my workflow is faster now. Anyone else get burned by a tool that peaked too early?

...and that's exactly what happened to my friend Jenna with her task manager. She was all in on this app, paid like $200 for the year, and for the first few months it was magic. Then they did a redesign that completely changed how subtasks worked and she lost like 50 recurring tasks she had set up. Support told her it was a "known issue" but it took them 6 months to even roll back the update. She tried sticking it out but eventually just went back to a regular planner and said her stress levels dropped immediately. It's wild how these apps start strong but then some product manager gets ambitious and ruins everything.

Oh great, another reminder that I've got three different half-used to-do apps on my phone right now...

Yeah the yearly plan was $180 not $200, just a heads up.
