TIL that a single dust bunny cost me $350 in server repairs...

Found a dead moth inside my backup server during a routine cleanout last Saturday. Anyone else ever lost money to insect damage in their gear?

lol that moth cost ya more than a nice dinner, bugs really do run the world silently.

and honestly that moth probably ATTENDED a nicer dinner than I did that night, with all the silk worms and whatnot. I just stood there with my jaw on the floor watching this insect eat my favorite sweater like it was a five star meal. really puts things in perspective when you realize a moth's life is just eat, mate, die and somehow they still manage to outsmart my wallet. my bank account is basically funding the local moth population at this point. but hey, at least they're doing important work like pollinating stuff while I'm just buying overpriced yarn.

Nah, I gotta disagree. Moths aren't outsmarting anyone. They're just dumb bugs that can't tell a cashmere sweater from a tree. Sure, it's annoying when they eat your clothes. But calling them "smart" or saying they "run the world" gives them way too much credit. They're just following instincts, not some master plan. And honestly, the real problem is we throw money at expensive fabrics without thinking about how to store them right. Learn to use cedar or mothballs. Problem solved.
