Just had a week where everything finally clicked in Bangkok
I've been bouncing around SE Asia for about 6 months now, and last Monday I woke up in my little apartment near Thong Lo feeling kinda off. But then I found this quiet coworking spot with a view of the canal, got through 12 urgent edits before lunch, and even had time to try pad thai from a street cart nearby. It was the first time I felt like I actually belonged here instead of just surviving. Has anyone else had a random week that made them think they picked the right place?

oh man this reminds me of my friend jenna who moved to ho chi minh for a year. she spent like the first three months just overwhelmed by the noise and traffic. then one random tuesday she found this little cafe that had her favorite type of iced coffee and the owner remembered her order. she said it felt like the city finally said "hey, you're one of us now." she ended up staying two more years after that. it's wild how these small moments can totally shift your whole vibe about a place.

Totally changed my mind reading this. Used to think you had to plan everything perfectly to love a new place. My first big move I spent months trying to find the right apartment and job. Then one night I grabbed street food from a random cart and the guy gave me extra spring rolls for free. Realized I was overthinking it. It's the tiny unexpected stuff that makes a place feel like home. Not the big checklist items you obsess over.

So Jenna just walked in one day and the owner already had her coffee ready?
