Just realized most nomads skip checking visa runs before booking cheap flights

I watched a guy in Medellin panic for 3 days straight after booking a $200 flight to Brazil without realizing his tourist visa only gave him 90 days total in Colombia, and now he's stuck figuring out a border run to Peru instead.

Had a buddy fly into Bangkok thinking he could just pop over to Vietnam for a weekend and come back for another 30 days. Spent his whole first week at immigration.

Geez, I dunno about that one... Your buddy probably should've looked into the rules before trying that. Thailand's been cracking down hard on visa runners for years now. You can't just bounce to Cambodia or Vietnam for a weekend and come back expecting a fresh 30 days every time, they got that land border stuff locked down tight. I've seen guys get denied entry for way less than what he tried, like having a one-way ticket or not enough cash on hand. Honestly, spending a week at immigration sounds like the price you pay for not doing your homework on visa rules before you fly...
