Swapped a 55 liter backpack for a 30 liter carry-on after 2 months in Vietnam
I used to haul extra clothes and gear everywhere thinking I'd need them, but lugging that thing through Hanoi's old quarter broke me. Now I just wash stuff in the sink and my shoulders actually don't hurt - anyone else downsize and regret it or love it?

washing socks in a hotel sink gets old fast" - man that reminds me of the time I tried drying my jeans on a balcony in Bangkok and a bird decided they were a good place to land... ended up buying new pants the next day. 30 liter is brave though, I got stuck at 28 on a trip and had to wear the same shirt for like four days straight.

37 liters is the Goldilocks zone for me between a heavy pack and having to do laundry every other day. Washing socks in a hotel sink gets old fast when you're in a humid climate. But yeah, my back doesn't hate me anymore so I'll take the trade.
