Found the perfect way to keep my hands busy while watching shows

I was always mindlessly scrolling during Netflix and felt like I was wasting time, so I tried knitting a simple scarf last month. Started with just 20 minutes per episode and now I've actually finished three projects. Anyone else find a hobby that pairs well with TV time?

Yeah I used to think knitting would be way too distracting while watching stuff. But once I started I realized it actually helps me focus better on the show. Got three dishcloths done this week alone.

Wait, @haydenhayden, you mean it actually helps you focus? I tried knitting during a movie once and missed half the plot (kept having to unpick mistakes I made while looking at the screen).

Oh man, the "unpick mistakes" thing is so real lol. I had a buddy who was the same way when he first started knitting. He tried it while rewatching The Office and kept having to pause and rewind because he'd drop a stitch looking at Michael Scott. But after a few weeks he said it clicked and now he can't watch anything without his hands busy. He's blown through like four scarves and a hat since January, says his attention span is way better now.
