The $40 invoice template that paid for itself in one week

I spent $40 on a proper invoice template from a design site last month. Before that I was just typing up invoices in Google Docs and hoping clients took them seriously lol. First time I used it a client paid within 3 days instead of the usual 2 week wait. Has anyone else had a small purchase like that just completely change how fast you get paid?

Man I feel this so hard. I was doing the same thing with plain Word docs and it was honestly embarrassing when I sent them out. Spent $30 on a simple template set and my first client actually commented on how clean it looked. That little bit of polish made me feel way more legit too.

Ngl that part about a client actually commenting on the template is wild to me, like they actually notice the effort you put in? I figured nobody cared as long as the numbers were right.
