Just dug out my old PC build binder from the 2000s

I was cleaning my attic and found a binder full of printed build guides and handwritten notes. Those guides had troubleshooting tips and part compatibility lists that most video tutorials just gloss over now. Are we relying too much on quick videos and missing the depth of old school guides?

Wow, your post really got me thinking. I used to swear by video guides for everything. Finding your old binder shows how much we lose with quick clips. Those handwritten notes had fixes for weird issues you never see online now. I'm starting to miss the depth of paper guides you could mark up and keep.

My handwriting is so bad those notes probably caused the weird issues.

Yeah the handwritten fixes thing hits different. It feels like someone actually fought with the problem until they won, not just copied a quick fix. That struggle leaves a mark you don't get from a clean video edit.

Handwritten notes sound cool until you can't read them. Video tutorials cut out the guesswork.
