Stop treating your emergency fund like a vacation savings account
I keep seeing people in this sub bragging about having $10k saved but then they dip into it for a trip to Vegas or a new TV. That's not an emergency fund, that's a spending pot. I learned the hard way when my AC died in July and the repair was $2,800. If I had blown that cash on fun stuff I would have been screwed. How do you guys force yourself to not touch that money for non emergencies?

Ngl, treat it like a locked bank vault in your brain. Out of sight, out of mind.

Wait @garcia.wren you actually locked that memory away like it's Fort Knox? That's wild!

Wait @webb.hannah are you telling me she actually deleted the whole thing from her brain? Like she just decided that memory doesn't exist anymore? That's kind of impressive honestly lol. I've tried to do that with some cringey stuff from high school but it always sneaks back in at 3am. How do you even train your brain to do that? I need that skill for like half my dating history lmao.
