My truck broke down mid route last Tuesday and I lost a whole day of treatments

I was driving to a termite job over in Oakville when my engine started knocking real bad. Had to call a tow truck and missed three appointments that day, which set me back about $400 in lost work plus the repair bill. I ended up renting a U-Haul just to finish my scheduled jobs the next morning. Anyone else keep a backup vehicle or have a plan for when stuff like this happens?

That lost $400 plus the rental, how much did the repair itself set you back total in the end?

Kept it under $600 for the parts and labor, which sounds like a lot til you remember I would've lost that $400 plus the rental anyway, so basically it cost me around $200 in the end to get back on the road. @the_hayden that's the math that made me just go for it rather than cancel.

Wait, you rented a U-Haul just to finish your jobs? That's dedication, man. I'd have probably just called everyone and rescheduled, not gone through all that hassle. But I guess when you're missing out on $400 plus paying for a tow and repairs, you gotta do what you gotta do.
