Gantt chart crashed right before a sprint review in Denver

I was in a conference room at a WeWork in downtown Denver with the whole dev team waiting and my Gantt chart froze up completely. Had to pull out a whiteboard marker and sketch the timeline by hand while everyone watched. Has anyone else had a tool fail at the worst possible moment like that?

Has anyone tried keeping a backup spreadsheet synced to the cloud for exactly this kind of emergency?

Oh wow, I actually tried something like that once... but it turned into a mess. @the_robin, the thing is, if your main sheet goes down and your cloud backup is synced to the same account, you might just lose both at the same time. I had a crash where the sync corrupted the backup file too, so I was stuck with nothing. It's better to save a separate copy on a different service or an external drive, not just the same cloud folder. That way you always have a clean fallback if the main one gets ruined. Just a heads up from someone who learned the hard way.

Same here, losing a whole file to sync corruption is brutal, I just mirror mine to a cheap USB drive now.
