Both of y'all missing the real issue which is how fast these things can empty your fridge. That week off cost me more in groceries than the vacation itself because I had to restock everything after.

The groceries thing makes sense but remember the time off was unpaid too, so that hits double. @johnson.eva you're right about the fridge though, I had to toss so much stuff after my last work trip. You try getting a partial refund from your grocery store for that?
