Sitting at my desk last Tuesday when Asana just froze mid-sprint update

I was in the middle of moving 12 tasks to 'in progress' for a client launch when the whole board went white. Had to manually recreate 4 hours of updates from memory and notes, which made me realize I dont back up project data nearly enough. Anyone else had a tool crash at the worst possible moment and lose real work?

Just a heads up Asana actually autosaves in the background so some of those updates might still be recoverable.

Oh dang, that's a good point! I had no idea Asana did that in the background. Yeah sometimes I've accidentally closed a tab and was able to find my progress under the "version history" or whatever they call it. It's not always easy to find though, you gotta dig through the project settings a bit.

Just a heads up Asana actually autosaves in the background" - man i wish that was as reliable as people think. i've had it "autosave" my work and then when i went back to it, half the tasks were just gone or stuck in a weird state. the version history thing is buried like you said and sometimes it only catches partial saves. really dont trust it for critical project data tbh. the autosave feature feels more like a suggestion than a guarantee in my experience.
