That Kanban board I mocked for years finally clicked for me last week

I always thought those Trello-style boards were just hype, but I had a nightmare client with 15 moving parts last Tuesday... So I set up a physical board with sticky notes on my wall, and I kid you not, I found three overdue tasks I had completely forgotten about. Has anyone else had a tool they dismissed suddenly make sense after one chaotic project?

I mean, I get why you'd find it helpful for tracking stuff you forgot. But for me, sticky notes just became another thing to manage. I had a project with 8 moving parts last month, tried the board, and spent more time moving notes around than actually doing the work. Idk, maybe it's just me but I ended up going back to a simple list on my phone.

A buddy of mine tried the Kanban thing for his side hustle and ended up with sticky notes stuck to his cat. Not kidding. He went back to a whiteboard marker and said it’s way less drama.
