Got burned by that $200 'premium' stock photo pack

Back in 2019 I paid $200 for a 'pro' stock photo pack from some random site thinking it'd save me time on client projects. Turned out half the photos were low res and the rest had weird watermarks that the fine print said I'd need extra licenses for. I tried to get a refund but the company ghosted me after three emails. Wasted a whole weekend sorting through garbage and still ended up buying individual images from Shutterstock. Has anyone else fallen for those overpriced bundles that promise the moon?

$200 for a stock photo pack and half of them were low res? That's insane, honestly. I can't believe they'd actually watermark their own "premium" photos like that and then sneak in extra license fees in the fine print. That's basically a scam dressed up as a bargain. The fact they ghosted you after three emails just proves they knew they were selling junk. I'm glad you brought up that article about repackaged free photos because I've heard the same thing from a few people now. It really makes you wonder how many people just give up and eat the loss without saying anything.

ugh i totally feel your pain on this one. i remember reading some article last year about how most of those "premium" stock photo bundles are just repackaged free photos from other sites with a fancy price tag slapped on. they bank on people not checking the fine print and getting stuck with a bunch of garbage. i almost clicked buy on a $150 "videographer starter pack" but saw a review that warned me away at the last second. good thing i held off cause sounds like you got majorly ripped off. that whole ghosting after a refund request is such a red flag too, like they know their product is trash. hope you learned your lesson like i did and just stick to the big sites now.

Sticking with the big sites saved me after one bad bundle too...
