Took me 5 years to realize I was overpaying my lawn crew by $200 a month

I had the same crew cutting grass at 6 duplexes for 5 years, never thought to check their rates against anyone else. Then a new neighbor mentioned his guy charges $40 less per visit for the same lot size. Anyone else find out they were paying way over market rate for a service they just set and forgot?

$40 less per visit on six duplexes? That math adds up fast. But you're not really overpaying by $200 a month if you got good service for five years without having to think about it. You pay for peace of mind and reliability, not just the lowest price. Plus lawn crews often cut corners to charge less, skipping edging or blowing off the driveways. Sometimes the cheapest guy ends up costing you more in the long run.
