Found out Fiverr takes $1 from every $5 gig as a 'service fee' on top of their 20% cut
I read the fine print on their seller page last night and it says they charge buyers a service fee too. Has anyone else factored that into pricing and had clients complain about the total?

Well, I appreciate Mitchell sharing that approach, but I wonder if bumping prices by 15% actually covers it when you factor in refunds or disputes. Have you ever had someone request a cancellation after seeing the final total on their end, even with your heads-up message?
I tried a similar thing a couple years back and still had a handful of buyers accuse me of hiding fees. The problem I see is that Fiverr doesn't make the buyer service fee visible until checkout, so no matter how much we explain, the damage is already done in their head.
I think the real question here is whether we as sellers are better off just eating the losses or if it's smarter to build a cushion into the base price and hope for the best. What's your take after doing this for a while?

OH MAN, that buyer service fee is a sneaky one. I bumped my gig prices by about 15% to cover it and the Fiverr cut, but I always mention it in a quick message before they order so there's no sticker shock. Most clients actually didn't freak out when I explained the platform adds their own charge on top of my price. One guy even thanked me for being upfront about it. It's a pain to factor in but way better than getting a nasty message about the final total.
